The upcoming GSAS Session on Graphene Fundamentals and Applications is to be held in Grenoble, France June 20-26. Scholars who are selected to participate will receive full travel and lodging support to attend the Session.

The society hosts a termly talk series given by eminent scientists working in the field followed by a friendly networking session. This is to give young scientist a chance to hear and speak to researchers who are pushing the frontiers of science.

Since 2007, the society has been hosting an annual symposium in Cambridge. These are a one-day symposium where scientists will gather to exchange ideas about the science and application of carbon nanotubes and related structures. The symposium will also be a valuable occasion for industry delegates to interact with leading scientists from Cambridge and other institutions in Europe.

The Nano Science & Technology Doctoral Training Centre Cambridge (NanoDTC) has invited all early career researchers at the University of Cambridge to enter a competition to display their Nano-fabrication prowess.  The challenge is to reproduce the London 2012 olympic logo in nanoscale by whatever method one could. The size of the fabricated nanoscale logo must be within 1 micron (should be able to fit inside a 1 micron diameter circle), one can use any material or method at your disposal. Nano-ingenuity, creativity and fidelity will score highly.
