The Cambridge CNT Society is proud to inaugurate its termly talk series event and we would like to celebrate with free refreshments during the networking session. The first Michaelmas talk will be presented by Prof. Malcolm Mackley, who is an eminent scientist working at the Department of Chemical Engineering. A part of his research activities are focused on CNT processing which have the potential to open doors for their technological applications.

General Meeting

The Cambridge CNT Society re-invents itself

Society Social - Michaelmas get-together

Location: Lucy Cavendish College (directions)

Date/Time: Wednesday, 27th OCT 2010 @ 7:00 PM

This term's general meeting will host a short introduction to the field as well as to the society. There will be a voting on the new constitution, term events and upcoming conferences. Following this will be a friendly networking session, where you get to meet researchers within the field from many different departments across Cambridge.

Thank you for everyone who came. We had a fun time and enjoyed hosting this event at this lovely college.

Newsflash

The Nano Science & Technology Doctoral Training Centre Cambridge (NanoDTC) has invited all early career researchers at the University of Cambridge to enter a competition to display their Nano-fabrication prowess.  The challenge is to reproduce the London 2012 olympic logo in nanoscale by whatever method one could. The size of the fabricated nanoscale logo must be within 1 micron (should be able to fit inside a 1 micron diameter circle), one can use any material or method at your disposal. Nano-ingenuity, creativity and fidelity will score highly.
