Carbon nanotubes are molecular-scale tubes of graphitic carbon with amazing properties. They are among the stiffest and strongest fibres known, and have remarkable electronic properties and many other unique characteristics. For these reasons they have attracted huge academic and industrial interest.
We are the Cambridge Carbon Nanotechnology (CNT) society of the University of Cambridge. Our society hosts a variety of different events, encourages exchange between researchers and creates links between academia and industry, bridging the gap between science and technology. We have a rich membership of scientists with diverse backgrounds such as engineering, material science and physics from across the globe.
